Quiet The Storm Retreats

What to Expect

Dance is a powerful and rewarding activity, but it can also come with real pressure, from performance expectations, comparison, perfectionism, auditions, and the emotional ups and downs of training. Many young dancers learn how to work hard physically, yet they’re rarely taught practical tools for managing stress, self-criticism, nerves, and disappointment in healthy ways.

This retreat was created to support the full experience of being a young dancer.

Using age-appropriate skills from evidence-based approaches dancers will learn simple, practical strategies to build confidence, manage performance anxiety, respond to mistakes, and strengthen emotional resilience. The focus is on helping them thrive, sustain their love of dance, and develop coping tools they can use both in and outside the studio.

Our goal is to help dancers grow into strong performers and emotionally kind and resilient young people, with skills that support long-term well-being and success.

Parents, We’ve Got You Too

At this retreat, parents have a dedicated space to build practical coping skills for navigating the emotional intensity of the dance world—so they can show up grounded and regulated for their dancer while also safeguarding their own mental health—guided by specialized clinicians experienced in performance culture and family systems.
